College trip=lifers!
I went to visit Appalachian State University yesterday, and today my dad took me to Bass lake for some birding and butterflying. I had thirteen warbler species:Palm, Pine, Yellow-rumped, Black-and-White, Blackburnian (full adult male--stunning), LA Waterthrush, Ovenbird, N. Parula, A. Redstart, Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Yellow-throated, and Common Yellowthroat. Only one I missed was Hooded. My best warbler day yet! Also got 7 BH Vireos and Broad winged Hawk.Only had only one dragon, an Appalachian Snaketail. 4 lifer butterflies: Dreamy DW, WV White, Cobweb Skipper, and App. Tiger Swallowtail.

Wow! Nice day! That's very good for mid-April, the birds seem to be coming up earlier this year. Just make sure to send them to NJ!
